And those elements look so easy when MG do them, but actually they are very very dangerous ones! My blood stopped going in my veins for a moment...

About today: I am still happy coz of Isabelle@Olivier's gold I found the ladies a bit boring... it's probably because of the BIG amount of classical music and the Carmens lol Carolina deserved to win, though I much more like Sarah, her performances, her style, everything, but in this competition, Kostner was better in the FD. Poor Julia... I wish her some self-confidence, I saw that she was crying in the backstage webcam

Well, despite of the horrible fall of Massino from the lift, despite the quite boring ladies free and despite the fact that most of the ice dancers had programmes with almost the same lifts, I must say I´M SOOOOO EXCITED ABOUT THE TWO FRENCH GOLDS!!!! I loved all programmes of Isa&Oli and I just think despite the messed-up quad in the short, Brian was simply AMAZING , especially his free was wonderful, even if he did "only" one quad, I just couldn´t put my eyes of him (especially his feet).... I also loved "the life of Brian" showed everyday on Eurosport A great way to see something from the backstage and also to hear him speaking about his love for skating and about the way he prepares himself for the competition. Tomas Verner was a nice surprise, although I said already a year ago that he has the stuff to become a champion one day Albena & Maxim were absolutely brilliant in the free dance and I think they deserved to get the silver medal, but.... However, Isabelle and Olivier deserved to win that gold, because all in all they were absolutely perfect! The tango was just breathtaking, the last minute I was just and they were perfect Bonnie and Clyde - I LOVED the choreography and the new lifts in it! Great expression The German pairs champions were wonderful too - I guess, I will never get tired of hearing the Mission soundtrack So, a WONDERFUL week! - for the French, and so for me as well

Am I the only one here who believes Oksana and Max totally deserved their silver? Because their performance was for me the best that evening, they were breathtaking, magnificent and they just blew me away completely with their speed and elegance on the ice. I loved the note of one of the Czech commentators who commented on Maxim s jumps like " Here we have Peizerat The Second " I rolled down off my chair at that mo lol. What I specifically like about this Russian couple is the way they keep progressing and improving and basically everywhere they find themselves to be whether it is a major competition or local championship they always manage to give their best if not more. When their performance ended just before I started to bounce up and down like insane I had sit literally nailed into my chair just mesmerized by their powerful program. They really did the best free dance. All in all I was quite satisfied with the French winning as I do not have anything against yet personally taken I liked that younger couple much better. It is hard to say anything about Albena and Max. They were great, yes. On the other hand it is a regular competition and we cannot have three couples gunning for gold especially at such a particularly high level. Oh, and I could not miss John Kerr. I think I have a thing about him started by this season.

Hm... about Oksana&Maxim... they are very strong technically, no doubt about this. But somehow I don't really like their style... they do their FDs always the same theme, this free dance didn't impress me... I started to like Jana&Sergei more, their gala piece was really cool ;D

Well what I did not like at Oksana and Max in those previous seasons was the lack of their emotion input and also their music interpretation skills. I think they made a huge progress in all of these aspect this curent season. Both of them are still very young and they just dashed into a senior level competition like a hurricane. To me they really seem more perspective and shapeable than ever. Oh, the same theme in their FDs? I do not think so. Have they done anything russian national dances related in the past? I guess it is their style that makes you feel as if it was the same repeated theme.

Sorry if somebody asked this question already, but what happened to Pechalat-Bourzat? I'm really happy about Deloebel-Schoenfelder winning, but I think they deserved these medals earlier - with the dances of previous seasons. Sorry, but I do not like their tango and their Bonnie and Clyde at all It's a huge dissappoitment for me - their dances this year. A pity they should have won their well-deserved medal with them. As for Domnina-Shabalin - it's still not Russian national dances, Nisha Polovtsu have nothing to do with Russians, except that they kept annoying Russian princes at the southern borders of Russia in the middle age It's just a replique of a famous dance piece by famous Russian choreographer Moiseev, basing on the famous Russian opera But anyway - it's the first time ever I liked something Domnina-Shabalin did. They changed a lot this season. And the main change is that they finally made a man out of Shabalin They were always skating like two sexless creatures. Now I can see the Man Not the woman out of Domnina yet, unfortunately. Seems we finally got a dancing pair with a man leading

AFAIK, Nathalie (sp?) was injured during Courchevel and they were unable to compete because of that.
